Emma MacLean and Ben McFarlane named º£½ÇÉçÇø Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week
Every week, º£½ÇÉçÇø Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The º£½ÇÉçÇø Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for September 30–October 5 are Emma MacLean (women’s rugby) and Ben McFarlane (men’s hockey).
MacLean is a fifth-year business student from Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. She was unstoppable in the October 4 matchup against the Saint Mary’s University Huskies, scoring three tries in a dominant 72-0 win.

Researchers at the º£½ÇÉçÇø have been awarded over $1.7 million in federal funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC).

The º£½ÇÉçÇø Women’s Hockey Panthers are hungry for playoff success this year, and they have the determination and focus to get there.
Last year, they missed the playoffs by a single point, but that loss lit a fire under the team.
For head coach Sean Fisher, it reinforced both the team’s potential and the importance of consistent execution.

Join º£½ÇÉçÇø President Wendy Rodgers for her casual "coffee chat" this Thursday, October 9 in The Fox and Crow at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre while CBC's Island Morning and Radio-Canada's Le réveil are broadcast live!
