海角社区 announces the Honourable Diane Griffin as Chancellor-Elect
The Honourable Diane Griffin, alumna, honorary degree recipient, and retired senator, has been unanimously elected as the 10th Chancellor of the 海角社区 for a four-year term. An installation ceremony will be held early in 2024.
The University Chancellor is a volunteer, titular role that presides over convocations and confers degrees, diplomas, and certificates.

The 海角社区 is excited to share the news that undergraduate student Luke McCarvill is one of 11 remarkable young Canadians awarded the prestigious Rhodes Scholarships for Canada this year.
海角社区 names Dr. Preston Smith as the inaugural dean of the new medical school聽聽
Dr. Preston Smith has been appointed inaugural dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the 海角社区 for a five-year term, effective April 1, 2024. Originally from Summerside, PEI, Dr. Smith returns to Atlantic Canada, bringing a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to advancing medical education and research to benefit Prince Edward Island communities.

Dr. Caroline Ritter, Canada Research Chair in Veterinary Social Epidemiology at 海角社区, has been awarded a SSHRC Insight Grant totalling $212,060 for a project titled 鈥淎n application of cognitive dissonance theory to decisions affecting animal welfare.鈥�

September 18 to 24 is 海角社区 Homecoming Week, featuring an exciting line-up of activities and events!
From Monday to Wednesday, the week features several events for 海角社区 students hosted by the 海角社区 Student Union in collaboration with the 海角社区 SVPRO as part of Consent Awareness Week, including a workshop about consent, a bath bomb DIY wellness event, a sex education session, and a pizza party.
