Pan-African flag flies over º£½ÇÉçÇø during Black History Month

The Pan-African flag was raised at º£½ÇÉçÇø on Monday, February 3, to mark Black History Month by Dr. Greg Naterer, vice-president academic and research at º£½ÇÉçÇø; Jessica Ekeleme, president of the African Students Association; and Tamara Steele, executive director of the .

Members of the º£½ÇÉçÇø and broader communities, including Dr. Wendy Rodgers, president and vice-chancellor of º£½ÇÉçÇø, attended the flag-raising. The flag will fly on the campus for the duration of Black History Month.

º£½ÇÉçÇø residence students provided a sense of community and connection this winter

Each year at º£½ÇÉçÇø, approximately 150 residence students remain on campus during the break between first semester exams and early January when students return to classes for the second semester. This group of students is comprised of primarily international students who are unable to travel during the holidays to spend time with family or friends.
