Dear º£½ÇÉçÇø Community Members,

In September 2024, º£½ÇÉçÇø launched a five-phase process to develop our next five-year strategic plan.

Each phase of the process has been anchored in consultation with our University and community members. In total, more than 700 participants have provided us with input, ideas, and candid feedback to help shape º£½ÇÉçÇø’s focus for the future.

Since our last consultation session, the º£½ÇÉçÇø Strategic Plan Steering Committee and team members have worked to review input and develop the .

In keeping with our commitment to transparency, we are sharing the  with you for reflection and further input. Feedback on the draft can be provided through the  linked in the document or by email to strategicplan@upei.ca. Input will be collected until August 14, 2025.

The  is a work in progress. In addition to our existing University mission, it includes our draft

  • vision;
  • values;
  • strategic pillars (3); and
  • high-level goals associated with each strategic pillar.

Actions and progress metrics are not outlined in the draft. Once the strategic plan is finalized over the coming weeks and approved by the Board of Governors, institutional teams will develop clear actions, outcomes, and measures of success within operational planning to support implementation of the strategic plan. An evaluation framework will also be developed, and progress will be shared on an ongoing basis.

Thank you again to all our University partners—faculty, staff, students, alumni, and members of our broader communities—for your ongoing commitment to helping º£½ÇÉçÇø build a strong future.

Thank you,

Wendy
