Graduate Research Assistant (2 Positions) - Faculty of Education
$27.81 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay, as per PSAC Local 86000
November 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026
Dr. Terri Jackson is looking for two Graduate Research Assistants to assist with a project which explores capacity-building in a community of learners on Prince Edward Island.
This research will explore stakeholder groups including educator, pre-service teachers, parents/caregivers, and persons who identify as neurodiverse and their experiences with a three-year capacity-building initiative.
The primary activities of the successful candidate will involve data collection (participatory narrative inquiry) and analysis and requires attendance at evening sessions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Weekly meetings with supervisor to discuss progress
- Collaborate in research in a community setting and engage in analysis of data with supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a current Graduate student at 海角社区
- Ability to write clearly and concisely in English for academic purposes, and adjust writing based on mentoring and editing from supervisor
- Skilled at attending to detail in research and writing
- Interest in inclusive education and capacity-building initiatives
- Access to transportation to data collection site, as needed, during evenings
This position is covered by a Collective Agreement between the Public Service Alliance of Canada and the 海角社区. Priority will be given to 海角社区 students.
