| Background: | This bursary was established through a generous donation by Francis Lefaivre, a resident of Calgary, Alberta, at the 海角社区 to support worthy applicants entering the Transition Program at 海角社区. The bursary is created in memory of his mother, Eugenie Ann Pineau, who graduated in 1909 from Prince of Wales College, one of 海角社区's predecessor institutions. Miss Pineau successfully pursued her education under very difficult financial circumstances. Immediately after graduating, she migrated to Alberta where she became a life-long educator along with raising a family of five children. |
